The Kawartha Land Trust works with landowners and partners to conserve the natural environment and cultural heritage in the Kawartha region. We help to increase stewardship and foster better decision-making to sustain our natural environment and to leave a legacy for future generations.  We do this through protecting ecologically significant land through acquisition or conservation easements; raising awareness among land-owners, decision-makers and the larger community of the ecological, social and economic benefits and opportunities of land conservation; providing opportunities for individual involvement in stewardship through volunteer activities; working and collaborating with a broad range of partners including the private sector, community groups, individuals and all levels of government; advocating for a sustainable natural environment and protection of cultural heritage now and into the future.
