Meet Our Moose – Haliburton Highlands Land Trust

Moose are the largest members of the deer family, and can grow as tall as 6 ½ feet from hoof to shoulder! Come out to the Haliburton Forest for a talk about basic moose biology and life history, moose diseases and parasites, their intriguing morphology, moose distribution, management, and why moose populations are declining. Then we’ll take a walk to meet and feed Hershe, the Forest’s resident moose.
