Indigenous Foods Garden Presentation (rare Charitable Research Reserve)
December 7, 2018 –
Join Dr. Andrew Judge (Mkomosé - Bear Walker) on the evening of the December new moon to learn about the intricate and spiralling Indigenous Foods Garden recently built at rare — named Minjimendan (A State of Remembering).
Dr. Judge will share some of the cosmology that went in to growing and harvesting native foods, once essential to ancestral Indigenous communities in this region. Dr. Judge will talk about the design techniques he used, and the potential of this new space to recover and share Indigenous land-based practices. Come be inspired!
