Conservation Easement Agreements: Learning Resources

In 1994, the Ontario Conservation Land Act enabled the registration of conservation easements on private lands. Land Trusts and conservation authorities now have over 30 years of experience creating, registering, managing, amending and enforcing these agreements.

Throughout five sessions in 2025-2026, lawyer Paul Peterson and guest presenters took us on an incredible journey exploring insights and lessons learned, and mapping out best practices for CEA development an management and enforcement.

These webinars are now available to be viewed at your convenience.

This webinar series is supported by the Ecological Gifts Program of Environment and Climate Change Canada. Logistical support is provided by the Ontario Land Trust Alliance.
