Ontario Land Trust Alliance connects and advocates for Ontario land trusts nationally, through our joint work with the Alliance of Canadian Land Trusts. Our 2025 Federal Engagement Toolkit is a joint project of the ACLT, OLTA, the Land Trust Alliance of BC and the Réseau de Milieux Naturels Protégés in Quebec. It offers guidance to land trusts and conservation organizations in connecting with elected representatives to build political will to support land trusts and advance community-based land conservation across Canada.
Engaging with our elected representatives and even our local communities, friends and family about land trusts can help raise the profile of land trusts and support our goal of conserving land, protecting biodiversity, and building climate resilient communities.
