June 26 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am
We are hosting a 2SLGBTQ+ Support Space on Thursday, June 26th at 10:00-11:00, for land trust community members! In honour of Pride Month, we’d like to share stories of joy and celebrate 2SLGBTQ+ identities in conservation and environmental stewardship. If you are interested in joining us, please reach out to [email protected], and feel free to let us know what you hope to experience from the space.
In our work, we look to reduce barriers to participation and are open to feedback from community members on how best to support them. Through our Strategic Plan 2021-2026, OLTA has committed to providing leadership to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in all land trust practices.
Supportive Spaces are voluntary, peer-led groups whose aim is to foster a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible space to share stories and struggles and successes. They are led by and participated in by community members from specific identities, based on self-identification. This is our second 2SLGBTQ+ space, and we hope to offer them on a monthly basis. (Stay tuned for details on our next BIPOC Supportive Space coming soon.) Content from these conversations will not be shared outside these Spaces.
